DAY 1. PORTO AIRPORT – PORTO:

Arrival at the airport and departure towards Porto. Hotel and accommodation.

DAY 2. PORTO / DOURO CRUISE:

Breakfast. Panoramic sightseeing of Porto, its historical core was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Among the architectural highlights of the city, Porto Cathedral is the oldest surviving structure, together with the small romanesque Church of Cedofeita, the gothic church of São Francisco, the remnants of the city walls and a few 15th-century houses. The baroque style is well represented in the city in the elaborate gilt work interior decoration of the churches of St. Francis and Santa Clara or the Episcopal Palace… The neoclassicism and romanticism of the 19th and 20th centuries also added interesting monuments to the landscape of the city, like the magnificent Stock Exchange Palace (Palácio da Bolsa). Lunch in restaurant reserved and in the afternoon, we enjoy a very special Douro River Cruise “Cruceiro das Seis Pontes” (included). Porto is also famous for its production of port wine. We have the opportunity to walk through a wine cellar followed by a tasting. Return to the Hotel and accommodation.

DAY 3. AVEIRO – COIMBRA – LISBON COAST LINE:

Breakfast. In the morning we start our trip towards Aveiro, part of the city is bathed through canals, bridges, and painted boats called moliceiros, similar to the gondolas of Venice. For this reason, the city is called the “Portuguese Venice”. The real charm of Aveiro lies in its coast, with its fantastic sandy beaches as São Jacinto, Barra and Costa Nova. This local coast is well known as Silver Coast, due to the beautiful and clean beaches. Lunch in restaurant reserved and in the in the afternoon we continue our route to Coimbra. It’s the third-largest urban center in Portugal. Its historical buildings were classified as a World Heritagesite by UNESCO in 2013, site of the country’s greatest university for the past five centuries. This city has several famous landmarks of interest: the university, Santa Cruz monastery, the Cathedrals, and the Machado de Castro museum. Overlooking Coimbra, houses seem to be suspended on the hillside We may enjoy some free time to explore this beautiful city. Hotel and accommodation.

DAY 4. FREE DAY (OPTIONAL TRIP TO SINTRA, PALACIO DA REGALEIRA, LISBON OF THE DISCOVERIES):

Free day in the hotel with half board. Optional full day trip to visit Sintra, Regaleira Palace and Lisbon of the Discoveries. You can purchase this tour on your travel agency or our representative in Madrid.

DAY 5. LISBON / ESTORIL, CASCAIS:

Breakfast. In the morning, our local guide will take us through Lisbon for a panoramic view, Portugal’s capital, is a coastal city known for its cafe culture and soulful Fado music. From imposing São Jorge Castle, the view encompasses the old city’s pastel-colored buildings, Tagus Estuary and the Ponte 25 de Abril suspension bridge. We also visit the Belen tower, at the mouth of the Tagus river and a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. Lunch in restaurant reserved and in the afternoon, we continue our journey towards Estoril. This town has an elegance style more commonly attributed to resorts on the Côte d’Azur. Exiled royalty and deposed despots made this their heaven during World War II. Here, we enjoy walking around the Grande Casino Internacional Tamariz beach. We continue to visit Cascais, a charming Portuguese fishing town. During the visit we can see its fascinating historic Centre; we can enjoy a walk through the immaculate parks that open out onto the traditional fishing harbor. Hotel and accommodation.

DAY 6. LISBON – LISBON AIRPORT:

Breakfast at the hotel or take away, depending on our departure time. Transfer to the Airport. End of the tour and our Services.

LISBON DISCOVERIES AND QUINTA DA REGALEIRA (full day) Our local guide will take us through Lisbon Discoveries by the Tagus river estuary. We point out the Jeronimos Monastery and Belem Tower both building to commemorate the return from India of Vasco de Gama. Lunch at restaurant. We conti- nue to Sintra, is known for its many 19th-century Romantic architectural monuments. Then we visit Quinta da regaleira, a romantic palace and chapel, and a luxurious park that featu- res lakes, grottoes, wells, benches, fountains, and a vast array of exquisite constructions
